Experience: Barend is well qualified with a distinguished career in all aspects of property development and investment. After obtaining his academic qualifications, he worked as a quantity surveyor in South Africa and the United Kingdom, after which he moved on to pursue a career in property development and investment.
His previous employers include Grothaus du Plessis Partnership in Pretoria, South Africa, Silk & Frazier Partnership, London, United Kingdom and RMB Properties (Pty) Ltd. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for Eris Property Group (Pty) Ltd and is a core member of the management team invested in the business. He serves as director of numerous property development and investment companies.
Barend is passionate about property on the African continent and believes that commercial real estate is an exciting way for investors to support and participate in the rise of the African consumer.

Experience: Warren started at Eris Property Group (previously RMBP Properties) as Financial Manager, Cape Town region in 1999. He has extensive experience in the property industry and is well versed in all aspects of structured finance and trading, investments and transaction structuring in various property-owning vehicles. Warren is a core member of the management investment team in the business. He serves as director of numerous property development and investment companies.
His previous employers include Deloitte, De Beers Benefit Society and the European Union Parliamentary Support Programme.

Experience: Hugh started his career at Barclays in 1986 on their Management Development Programme for undergraduates. Two years spent in branch banking and one year in Asset Based Finance. In 1989 he joined Investec Bank in the Corporate Banking division doing Corporate Lending, MBO's and Property Finance. In 1991 Hugh joined Old Mutual Properties as a Property Investment Analyst. In the mid-1992 started Old Mutual direct marketing of their land bank for potential developments. Hugh joined RMB Properties as Marketing Manager in 1993 and was appointed as Marketing Director in 2002. The role of Marketing Director includes a very close working relationship with the Development Division in sourcing new development opportunities. Appointed as Marketing Director of Eris Property Group in July 2008.
As at January 2021 Hugh's role at Eris was expanded to be responsible for New Business opportunities for the company, working across all product lines

Experience: Asokan joined the Momentum Group in 2004 as Group CFO and was appointed to CEO of Momentum New Markets in 2008. In 2011, he relocated to India to set up the Liaison office for Momentum. While living abroad, he was instrumental in establishing the exciting joint venture on behalf of MMH with Aditya Birla Group of India where he currently serves as director to both the insurance regulated Aditya Birla Health Insurance Limited and Aditya Birla Wellness Limited. Asokan concurrently serves as Director on several Subsidiary and Associate Boards of MMH. The MMH Affiliates portfolio also comprises investments in Asset Management, Property, Telco Insurance and venture capital. With a career that spans in excess of 35 years, Asokan has held senior corporate executive roles in diverse industries, including Building Materials Manufacturing, Property, Transport, Decorative Paper Manufacturing and Financial Services.

Experience: Warren is a Chartered Accountant served his articles by Arthur Young & Company until 1986. He then worked for the Astra Group as Financial Director before joining RMB Properties in 1989. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of RMB Properties in 2004 and was subsequently appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Eris Property Group in June 2008. Warren retired as Chief Executive Officer in late 2019. Warren has extensive experience in property investment, property portfolio management and associated aspects such as finance, development and has served as a board member of various listed property companies. He also has extensive property experience in Africa and serves as a director of the Momentum Africa Real Estate Fund, and a number of companies associated with Eris in Mauritius, Ghana, Botswana, Namibia and Malawi. Warren also served as President of SAPOA in 2009/2010.

Experience: Motlatsi has over 24 years' experience in the investment management industry in various roles, from advisory to portfolio management. He heads Momentum Alternative Investments which manages hedge funds and private markets portfolios for Momentum Investments. He is also portfolio manager responsible for Real Assets strategies.
Motlatsi joined RMB Asset Managers, later Momentum Investments, in 2008 as a portfolio manager of multi-strategy portfolios. Prior to that, he was an Investment Consultant with Willis Towers Watson (UK).

Experience: Nigel is currently resident in the United Kingdom where he is a Non-Executive Director of Companies. Nigel has 30 years' experience in the Financial Services industry. During that time, he has had exposure to a wide range of financial, tax and managerial positions including Chief Financial Office and Divisional Chief Executive Officer of a listed company.

Experience: Lebogang is a seasoned Treasury, Finance and Operations professional. She has over 17 years' experience in the financial services industry in various roles predominantly in the insurance sector. Having gained broad experience at two other large insurance organisations, she joined Momentum Metropolitan in 2020 in Balance Sheet Management where she heads up Treasury.

Experience: Theo was appointed as the Executive Head: Investment management for Momentum Investments from 1 September 2020. He joined a team of highly experienced and seasoned professionals and is responsible for setting strategy and growing Momentum Metropolitan’s investment business. He has extensive knowledge of the financial services and investment management industry, having been part of the larger Momentum Investments business for the last 15 years.
Theo joined Momentum Metropolitan on 1 January 2009, as a project accountant. He joined Momentum Wealth as a financial manager in 2010 and fulfilled various roles in the business culminating in his appointment as CFO of Momentum Investments in 2014, a position he fulfilled for five years. During this time, he also oversaw the operational function for the Investment management business. In 2019, he was appointed as the co-head of retail investments, responsible for the Group’s local and global linked-investment platform as well as the collective investment scheme and discretionary fund management businesses.
Company Secretarial, Risk and Compliance
Experience: Jenny has over 19 years' experience in the Internal Audit, Governance and Risk Management Industry. She joined Eris in 2018 as the Head of Risk Management where she assisted the company in further enhancing its risk management maturity level, navigating the company through the various regulatory compliance requirements such as the FICA Amendment Act, POPIA and the Property Practitioners Act and implementing various controls and procedures to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements. In 2023 she stepped into the role of Company Secretary whilst continuing with the oversight of Risk and Compliance Management of Eris.
Her previous employers include KPMG, UTi Worldwide and Grant Thornton.
